More on “Sedation Dentistry”
More than half of the population doesn’t go to the dentist regularly. Many people avoid the dentist due to fear and anxiety. Now these people have an option. SEDATION DENTISTRY enables you to safely and efficiently have your work done while you relax. You can now do this as simply as taking a few pills. The pill we usually use is Triazolam, which is a common sleeping pill.
During your appointment, we would use a higher dose than you would use at home. However, for your safety, our sedation assistant will remain with you from start to finish and we will also monitor your vital signs with hospital-level equipment. We assess your pulse, blood pressure and oxygen saturation.
In 1996 over 600 million of these pills were taken by patients to help them sleep at night. Wouldn’t you rather relax through one or two appointments instead of enduring six to eight appointments while awake? If you think sleep dentistry would be helpful for your dental care, please call now to change your smile forever. Ask to speak to our Sedation Coordinator.
This option is extremely helpful for patients who have:
· Problems getting numb
· A bad gag reflex
· A fear of needles and shots
· Very sensitive gums or teeth
· Previously had a bad dental experience
